See the shape of your effort.

Ridgeform turns your running and cycling routes into 3D art cards you can share. This page covers how to get started, common questions, and how to reach us.

Getting Started

Import a route

You have two ways to bring routes into Ridgeform:

Create a card

  1. Tap a route to open the card composer.
  2. Pick a theme: Moss, Clay, Summit, Tarmac, Frost, or Tempest.
  3. (Optional) Tap the background to swap in your own photo or video, or pick a solid color.
  4. (Optional) Edit the route name and starting location.
  5. (Optional) Switch between Elevation (true 3D shape) and Altitude (raised profile) modes.

Export and share

Tap the export button and choose a format:

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Ridgeform need an internet connection?

Only when importing from Strava. After a route is imported, every other feature — theme switching, 3D rendering, background editing, exporting — works fully offline.

Where does my data live?

Entirely on your device. Ridgeform does not upload activities, routes, photos, or videos to any server. Strava tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Can I disconnect Strava?

Yes. Open Import → Strava → Disconnect. Your imported routes remain on your device after disconnecting.

My export looks frozen or only shows one frame.

This was fixed in earlier builds. Make sure you are on the latest version from the App Store. If it persists, please email us a screen recording and we'll dig in.

Can I edit the data shown on the card (distance, elevation, time)?

The route name and starting location are editable. Distance, elevation gain, estimated time, and route type are computed from the GPS data and not user-editable, to keep the card honest to the activity.

Which file formats can I import?

GPX is the most widely supported format. Garmin Connect, Komoot, RideWithGPS, Wahoo, Strava, and most GPS platforms can export GPX. If a file fails to import, please send it to us and we'll look at it.

Does Ridgeform support cycling and running?

Yes, both. The 3D shape is generated from GPS + elevation, so it works for any outdoor route — running, road cycling, gravel, trail running, hiking.

Why is the route shape "floating" above the elevation profile?

That's the Altitude mode — the route is lifted to its absolute height above sea level, with the silhouette below showing the elevation profile. Switch to Elevation mode if you prefer the route to sit at ground level with only its relative shape.

Can I use Ridgeform without a Strava account?

Yes. GPX file import works without any account.
